Who am I?
Hey there I'm Salvatore, I'm 18 years of age and currently live in Zürich.
My name is Salvatore Aurelio Porter and first of all thanks for reading this. I was born in Barvaria in 2006 and moved over to Switzerland in 2008. Henceforth i went through schools in both Zug and Zürich. After finishing School i hopped between jobs trying to figure out where i belong, until i was accepted into the apprenticeship in the ICT field. Since beginning my Apprenticeship i've already had a few of the Basics, primarily for Hardware, configuring Systems and coding with Batch and C# due to my little hobby projects. I have my own PC which i bought the components for and just thought myself how to set up and install, ever since i've been upgrading it steadily for i need not the most powerful rig yet a little bit is always good to have for my gaming hobby. I also tried my hand at coding in unity which worked fairly well, along with me writing the code and seeing it function i also fully understood the whole meaning and functionallity behind the code itself which then inspired me to actually go down this line of work.
About Me
Born in Bavaria in 2006 and moving to Switzerland in 2008, I've navigated my education in Zug and Zürich. After exploring various jobs, I found my passion in ICT, currently pursuing an apprenticeship as an information specialist specializing in platform creation. My journey into technology began with building my own PC and steadily upgrading it, which deepened my understanding of hardware and coding, including Batch and C#. I'm an avid gamer, drawn to fantasy RPGs, MMOs, and strategy games. My interests extend to tabletop games like Warhammer 40k and Dungeons and Dragons. In addition to my digital hobbies, I engage in Historical European Martial Arts (H.E.M.A), practicing sword fighting with a German longsword and sabre. I also participate in harness fencing and perform in sword fighting choreography at medieval events, where I enjoy embodying historical characters.
Personal Interests
To be frank i am a little bit of a nerd. I love playig videogames, specifically in the fantasy setting and even then they are mostly rpgs, Mmos or strategy games, otherwise am really into Warhammer 40k and Dungeons and Dragons. next to these digital hobbies i do go to a fitness studio and practice multiple medieval sports. one being H.E.M.A (Historical. European. Martial. Arts) where we practice hirsorical accurate swordfighting with the German longsword and Sabre, besides that i do Harness Fencing in full medieval plate armor and am an actor in my swordfighting choreography club where we do stag fights in medieval events and camp there wearing historicly accurate garments. I am as states prieviously a hardware geek, i started off with a biostar b450mh Motherboard, a ryzen 3 3200g APU, 8GB of DDR4 corsair vengence Ram and no graphics card. There i upgraded to a Ryzen 5 5600 X which i had to update my BIOS for to allow for compatibuility, a GTX 780 which has no been upgraded to a RTX 3050 and 32 GB of DDR4 Corsair vengance RAM. I love my pc and i love just sitting there taking it appart, putting it back toggether and seeing it work its amazing really, i also learned the theory behind all the parts and how they function to better understand why my pc needs so many parts, how they are built up/what they're components are and how they function toggether.
My Skills
One of my greatest strengths is my quick wit, which enables me to absorb new information and skills rapidly. This adaptability allows me to tackle challenges head-on, whether I'm learning a new programming language, understanding complex hardware setups, or diving into unfamiliar concepts. I embrace the idea of being a "jack of all trades, master of none," as I have developed a foundational understanding across various disciplines. However, I am committed to evolving this approach by focusing on mastering a specific trade within the ICT field, honing my expertise to excel in my career. In addition to my technical abilities, I possess a strong work ethic, which drives me to put forth my best effort in every task I undertake. I believe that dedication and persistence are crucial for personal growth and professional success. My passion for supporting and collaborating with others is evident in my approach to teamwork. I understand that effective teamwork is essential in any project, as it fosters better coordination and communication among team members. By actively contributing to group discussions, sharing ideas, and respecting diverse perspectives, I can help ensure that projects run smoothly and efficiently. I recognize that a successful team relies on each member's ability to understand their roles and responsibilities while also being aware of what has already been accomplished. This awareness not only helps in managing workload but also builds trust and camaraderie among colleagues. I strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and empowered to share their insights, ultimately leading to enhanced productivity and innovation.

Work Experience
Throughout my journey, I have gathered valuable experience across a variety of fields, each contributing to my growth and skill development. My first professional role was as a retail worker at Coop, where I learned the importance of customer service, effective communication, and teamwork. This experience not only honed my interpersonal skills but also taught me how to manage inventory and maintain a clean and organized store environment. I quickly understood the significance of creating a positive shopping experience for customers, which reinforced my appreciation for collaboration and efficiency in a fast-paced setting. After my time in retail, I sought a more hands-on experience and embarked on a half-year apprenticeship as a carpenter at AOZ during a bridge year. This role allowed me to delve into the world of craftsmanship, where I learned essential skills in woodworking, project planning, and problem-solving. Working on various projects, I developed a keen eye for detail and gained a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship that goes into creating functional and aesthetically pleasing structures. This experience not only enhanced my technical abilities but also strengthened my understanding of the importance of precision and teamwork in achieving successful outcomes. Following my apprenticeship in carpentry, I took on a position at McDonald's in Sihlcity. During my two to three months there, I adapted to a fast-paced environment that emphasized efficiency and customer satisfaction. I learned to thrive under pressure, mastering the art of multitasking while maintaining high service standards. This role reinforced my ability to work effectively in a team, as collaboration and communication were crucial to ensuring smooth operations during peak hours. Ultimately, my diverse experiences led me to my current role as an information specialist specializing in platform creation. This apprenticeship represents the culmination of my varied background and interests, allowing me to leverage my technical skills and passion for technology. I am excited to delve deeper into this field, where I can apply my knowledge of hardware, system configuration, and coding while continuing to learn and grow within a collaborative team environment.
